We recently entered Monsanto's "Grow St. Louis" contest in an effort to receive funding that will stay local and go directly to providing comfort, care and a "home-away-from-home" for our families. Meet the Martin Family

 
There is so much to be grateful for this year, including all of the people who help our Houses become homes. With the dedication of our supporters, we are able to provide a "home-away-from-home" for families of seriously ill children, such as the Martin family.



 


On Nov. 23, 2010, just hours after she was born, Adrianne Martin was flown from her home in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center to be treated for Pierre Robin Sequence, a rare jaw deformity. Her parents, Chad and Bethar, spent the next six days, including Thanksgiving Day, in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit). But even during one of the most trying times in their lives, the Martins found reasons to count their blessings. Read more about this inspiring story of giving thanks here.
