Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis' Mission
St. Louis' three Ronald McDonald Houses serve as a "home-away-from-home" from families with seriously-ill children being treated at area hospitals, and provides support to organizations that serve the needs of children.
The Houses offer parents and family members a respite from hospital waiting rooms 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
The Houses are designed to bring the comforts of home to families far away from their own homes with a comfortable bed, a warm meal, kitchen and laundry facilities, and toys for the kids.
Ronald McDonald House Charities also serves St. Louis families at three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms inside local hospitals. These rooms provide many of the same comforts of the Ronald McDonald House such as hot showers, laundry facilities, snacks and television. Here, families can take a break from the hustle and bustle of hospital corridors.
